| One of the goals of The Shops at Ellis Square is to provide our customers with helpful information regarding the goods and services that are now available in one of the most vibrant areas of downtown Savannah. Ellis Square has been central to Savannah merchants and their customers since the first market was built here in 1757. The square now hosts some of the best shops, restaurants, and galleries in the area, drawing locals and visitors alike to its downtown location. The ambitious re-envisioning of Ellis Square, currently under construction, includes a shady and fountain-dotted park, food kiosks, and underground parking. The businesses that surround the park are already part of Savannah’s new horizon, as this site will attest.
